Climate Systems (2017) Limited (“Climate Systems”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and how you can ask us to change or delete it. We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
We only collect personal information you choose to give us. The main way that happens is through our contact form, which asks for:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- The message you send us
If you email or call us directly we’ll also collect whatever details you share in that conversation (for example your address, when you’d like a site visit, or photos of your home).
Like most websites we also receive standard technical information from your browser - things like your IP address, the page you visited, and the time of your visit. We use this only to keep the site running and to spot abuse. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics that profile you.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Reply to your enquiry and arrange a free home comfort assessment if you’ve asked for one.
- Prepare and send you a quote, and follow up on that quote.
- Carry out installation, servicing or warranty work you’ve booked with us.
- Send you operational messages (booking confirmations, reminders, invoices). We do not send marketing emails unless you specifically opt in.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it with advertisers. We share it only with:
- Service providers we use to run our business - for example our email delivery provider (Resend) so we can reply to your form submission, our hosting provider, and our accounting software for invoicing. These providers are bound to use your information only to perform the service we hired them for.
- Our installation team and trusted subcontractors when they need your address and contact details to do the work.
- Government agencies or law enforcement if we’re legally required to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information only as long as we need it to follow up on your request and then delete or de-identify it. Records relating to work we’ve done for you (quotes, invoices, warranty paperwork) are kept for as long as we’re required to under New Zealand tax and consumer law - generally at least seven years.
How we protect it
Information you send through this site is transmitted over a secure (HTTPS) connection and stored on infrastructure with standard access controls. Only Climate Systems staff who need your information to do their job can see it.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that’s wrong.
- Delete your information, where we’re not legally required to keep it.

Cookies
This website uses only the minimum cookies required for the site to function (for example, to remember whether you’ve dismissed a notice). It does not use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes we’ll also do our best to let regular customers know directly.
